This trigram is made up of the stirring whole line that emerges below two dormant opened lines.  It symbolises the excitement, arousal and disturbing of things.  For example the bursting forth of plants from the earth.  It brings things out into the open from hiding and has the strength to move heavy things.  As the first or eldest son of a new generation it embodies an energetic and protective force which provided for the parents and ancestors.
