This French ecclesiastical was found guilty of sorcery and burned in 161. He started out in Marseilles as a Cure, and his attractive qualities and good manners helped him to find a place in high society - but he led a life of sin beneath his priestly appearance. He seduced a young girl, and when he parents sent her to a convent he followed. He pretended to the nuns that the convent had been possessed by a legion of demons. H was tried and found guilty at Aix, before being burned alive.
