Tappan-Richmond, Mrs Cora L.V.

This is proabably the most significant of inspirational spiritualist speakers. Mrs Tappan-Richmond spent much of her childhood in the Hopedale Community, so she was immersed in the movement early. She moved to New York at just 16 and became a lecturer on the subject, and she soon became a famous name in the USA. She visited Britain in 1873 and received a warm welcome from its spiritualists.
