About Paranormality.com

Paranormality.com was set up in 2001, just as the internet was beginning to gain popularity. Originally it was set up as a personal project, inspired by the renowned writer Authur C Clarke and his TV series Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World. The word Paranormality is actually a noun and pertains to anything that lies beyond the bounds of scientific explanation.

When Paranormality.com was first set up, there were few if any websites called by this name and Paranormality was quite unique in the field. It is interesting to note the growth of sites that now call themselves Paranormality or talk about the subject. Indeed the most amusing aspect of it all, is that the word paranormality was actually the suggestion of an alternative name for the domain paranormal.com by some domain name registration software. At the time the intention was to have a website called Paranormal.com but this domain was already taken and the domain registration software suggested using Paranormality.com instead. Hence the website was born. Paranormality is no longer a small project it is a fully fledged business with thousands of unique visiotrs eto the site every day. The word Paranormality is now actually a registered trademark.

The aim of paranormality.com as a personal project was to build up a small A to Z of anything that was weird and wonderful and classify it all in alphabetical order. It was at this point that the title Paranormality.com - The A to Z of Everything Paranormal, Supernatural, weird or Unusual was born. Eventually this title was shortened to "The A to Z of Paranormal, Supernatural & Unusual Phenomena". Unusual Phenomena was added to the title so that a wide variety of topics could be covered and not just paranormal subjects. Indeed the website's main function still is to document anything strange or unusual and not be constrained purely by the supernatural or paranormal boundaries.

Paranormality.com is constantly evolving and we seek to offer impartial information on a wide and expanding variety and range of subjects. We offer a small online shop with a growing product range, most of which is either produced in-house or specially sourced to complement the website. All of our articles are available to licence and we offer trade discounts for anyone wishing to stock our products.

In essence Paranormality.com is a website committed to making available well researched, reliable, unbiased and interesting information in a straight forward and uncomplicated A to Z format.
