Jamais Vu : comes from the
French, meaning literally, never seen. It is the complete opposite
of the French term déjà vu, meaning literally, already
seen. To a person experiencing jamais vu, something which has been
experienced on a number of occasions or something familiar to the subject
now feels as if it is being experienced for the first time. This in
contrast to a feeling that something has been felt or experienced before
as in a case of déjà vu. Jamais vu is often associated with
certain forms of epilepsy and amnesia.
